What is the Difference Between Remanufacturing and Repair?
Sometimes you may need to repair your Rockwell products. To ensure you continue to get the same level of quality you expect
from your Allen-Bradley products, Rockwell prefers to remanufacture its product as opposed to simply repairing it. What is the difference between
remanufacturing versus repairing?
When you repair a product, you are to putting it back in a good condition after it has been damaged.
The repair activity therefore results in the fixing or replacing only the failed components that caused the problem in the first place. Other
components would be replaced only if they are clearly impeding the correct functionality of the unit.
When you remanufacture a product, you are taking a used piece of equipment and returning it to a "like new" or even better
condition by cleaning and restoring the unit, replacing aged or failed components, installing all applicable updates and enhancements and conducting
all necessary testing to ensure it is functioning like a new product. In the case of Rockwell's Remanufacturing Services, they offer a one-year warranty
or the balance of the new product warranty, whichever is greater. Additionally, Rockwell offers an advanced exchange program which provides already
remanufactured parts ready for shipment when you need it.
To get you started with this program, all you need to have ready when you call Trade is the catalog number and series revision
of the part that needs service.
